PF Digital Communications for Charities 2008 - January 24th

Digital Communications Partner

Blackbaud

The inaugural Digital Communications for Charities conference took place on 24 January 2008 was a great success.

Over 200 delegates came to find out about the latest developments in digital media and how these were being applied in charities to maximise revenue and generate awareness.

Ian Pearson, former BT Futurologist raised a few eyebrows during his glimpse into the future.

Alex Randall of the Centre for Alternative Technology underlined ways to create impactful awareness-raising campaigns on a tight budget.

Steve McClaughlin of BlackBaud delivered valuable information on using email as an effective fundraising campaign.

Jo O’Boyle of Arthritis Care and Roger Lawson of Cascaid demonstrated how reworking the Arthritis Care website succeeded in engaging great numbers of new users in the over-50 group.

Here’s what some of the delegates had to say.

“Fantastic speakers.  I think it’s fair to say that most not-for-profit organisations have seen the future potential for their fundraising campaign here today.  I’m listening – I’m just not sure where to begin!?” Richard Jones, Shelter
